✨ Our Admissions Process
We believe in clarity, connection, and honesty from the very first step. Here’s how our admissions process works:
1. Review our Family Handbook
2. Submit the Free Application
It’s quick and easy — no fee required.
3. Application Processing
We’ll review your application and contact you within 72 hours.
3. Family Survey & Interview
Both students and their adult(s) complete an intake survey to help us learn about learning styles, needs, and interests. Then we’ll schedule a visit where students can explore and play, and adults can tour, ask questions, and connect.
4. Acceptance Notification
If accepted, your family will receive an invitation to enroll.
5. Enrollment & Assessment
You’ll complete online enrollment, review our family handbook and policies, and begin a relaxed intake process. Students take low-pressure, standards-based assessments designed to identify strengths, support needs, and learning preferences — with flexibility for home-based completion if needed.
6. MAP Design & Orientation
We use all insights gathered — from surveys, interviews, observations, and assessments — to draft a personalized Mentored Adventure Plan (MAP). This includes academic goals, supports, accommodations, and growth targets. Families and students review and refine it together.
7. Begin the Journey
Once the MAP is finalized, students begin attending — gradually or fully, based on their needs.
🗺️ About the Mentored Adventure Plan (MAP)
The MAP works like a flexible roadmap, blending academic goals and support needs with personal growth milestones. It’s reviewed frequently (at least twice a year) and adjusts as your child evolves — no waiting months or years for support changes.
Learning follows two rhythms:
-
Phases: Shared learning blocks (about 9 weeks) exploring common themes
-
Cycles: Personal rhythms based on each student’s pace of exploration and mastery
MAP goals are tied to both rhythms, covering academic standards, creative work, and personal challenges.
